Paper Lantern Fish

Perfect for any summer or ocean themed party. 

 

What you will need:

  • Paper Lanterns
  • Clear Tape
  • Scissors
  • Cardstock or Paper

 

Steps:

  1. Assemble paper lanterns according to package.
  2. Download the template for the mouth, eyes & tail here.
  3. Print on colored cardstock and cut along dotted lines.
  4. Using the horizontal lines on the lantern as a guide, cut one small hole about half way down the lantern on one side.
  5. Insert tab for tail into the cut hole and fold to the side. Use a piece of clear tape to adhere it to the inside wall of the lantern.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the opposite side of the lantern for the mouth.
  7. Attach eyes by using a small amount of tape on the back side of each one. Position eyes on either side of the mouth.

 

 

Alternative Idea:

A fluffy tissue paper ball makes a great alternative to a lantern. No cutting required, simply fluff up your pouf according to the package directions and carefully tape on the tail, mouth and eyes.
