Graduation Capcakes  

You will need the following items for this project:

• Your favorite cake mix
• Your favorite frosting in a white or light color that can be dyed
• Graham crackers
• Licorice strings
• Food color (in your school colors!)
• Graduation cupcake liners

Steps:

1. Prepare the cupcakes according to box directions.
2. No cupcake liners needed at this step, simply grease and flour the muffin tins.
3. Remove cupcakes from oven, let cool completely and remove from the tins once cooled.
4. Turn each cake upside down on a foil-lined cookie sheet.
5. Color frosting with food coloring, using your school colors.
6. Break graham cracker in half. Frost the graham cracker and stick on top of the cupcake.
7. Place each cupcake inside one of the liners.
8. Tie licorice strings into tassels and use frosting to attach to the caps.
9. Decorate some with the graduation year using frosting!
