Sprouting Scholars
Sprouting scholars is a fun, quick and easy graduation decoration no matter what age your graduate is! The finished flower pots make great table centerpieces for your party!
You will need the following items for this project:
- Approximately 12 little pots of your favorite flowers or 1 big pot
- Poster board (in your school colors!)
- Pipe cleaners
- Tissue paper (in your school colors!)
- Ribbon (in your school colors!)
- Photos of the Graduate in all stages of life (up to 12)
- Glue
- Pencil
- Scissors*
Steps:
- Coil pipe cleaners around pencil so they look like springs.
- Cut the poster board a little bigger than the photo.
- Glue photo to poster board so that you can see about 1/2 inch on each side of photo.
- Glue a pipe cleaner to the back of each poster board photo.
- Stick all pipe cleaners in large pot or one in each little pot-these represent the stages of life.
- Use a generous amount of tissue paper to cover the pot by wrapping the pot with the tissue and tie in place with ribbon.
*Children should not handle scissors
