3-D Halloween Ghost Lawn Decoration |
Steps: |
Using white pencil, draw outline of ghost on black paper plate. |
Trace over design with Xacto knife, use enough pressure to go through plate. (Be sure to put something under the plate so as not to scratch your work surface. A phonebook works well for this.) |
You should now be able to "punch out" your design, leaving a ghost-shaped hole in the plate. |
Grab a handful of fake cobwebs. Place this behind the ghost cut-out, filling the opening. |
Line the perimeter of your smaller orange plate with glue. Plate should be facing up. |
Put this plate behind the black plate, with the fake cobwebs in between. The smaller plate will push the cobwebs through the ghost cut-out creating a 3-D image. |
Place clothespins around perimeter of the two plates, to hold them together as the glue is bonding. Leave on for at least 15 minutes to allow the glue to dry. |
Turn over decoration so ghost is facing down. |
Glue one Popsicle stick horizontally across the bottom curve of the black plate. |
Glue another Popsicle stick perpendicular to this one. The two sticks should make a "T" shape. |
Place clothespin at intersecting point, allow to dry for 15 minutes. |
While the glue is drying, glue googly eyes on your ghost. |
Bend orange pipe cleaner into a bow shape, glue this on ghost. |
Continue to decorate your ghost however you wish! |
Remove clothespins. |
Place decoration in the ground outside or in a planter. |

Using one blade of scissors, curl the ribbon. |

Cut a yellow pipe cleaner in half. |
Curl pipe cleaner around your pinkie finger, glue end to back of stem. |
