Thanksgiving Tree of Thanks
What are your kids thankful for? Let your children express their thanks with the Thanksgiving tree of thanks. This easy Thanksgiving craft is a way for each child to communicate what they are most thankful for while adding their own personal touch to it. This great Thanksgiving craft is a fun and easy project for the classroom or for the family. Each child will list what they are thankful for on the leaves of the Thanksgiving Tree of Thanks and it can then be displayed for everyone to see! |

Steps: |

Trace child's hand onto construction paper. Children can pair up and trace each other's. Cut out the handprints, these will be used to make the leaves of the tree. |

On the cut out handprints have the children write their names and something they are thankful for. |

Using brown construction paper cut out a tree trunk and branches. |
 |
Glue the tree trunk onto a large piece of poster board (or tack onto a bulletin board). |

Paste or tack the handprints of your class to the branches of the tree. |

On the tree trunk write your class name, grade, or room number and label, 'Tree of Thanks'. Either on the tree trunk or on top of the poster board write 'I am thankful for ____' Put on display for parents, teachers, and other visitors to see the different things students in your class are thankful for. |
